If you have decided to take an A-level in French this year, Alliance Française de Bristol is offering a weekly support class to help you get the best possible grade in the exam. Delivered by native teachers with extensive experience teaching A-level, the lessons are aimed at guiding and supporting students with their independent preparation for the exam.

Our lessons are 1.5h and will run over 28 weeks online. This will also include 6 individual 30-minute sessions (online or face to face in Bristol) to prepare for the speaking assessment for instance.

Your teachers will set you weekly tasks to complete (approximately 4h of independent work per week) which could involve:

  • research on a grammatical point,
  • Grammar practice exercises,
  • reading and preparing texts,
  • listening to audio tracks or watching videos,
  • class presentations
  • Research
  • Translation

In class, you will present and discuss your work and practise exam type questions (oral and written) following the AQA syllabus.

Please note that this course does not include examinations registration and you will need to independently enrol as a private candidate in a school or college of your choice. We will need at least 5 students to run this course. Please register your interest below.
